If you’ve shopped for gaming monitors, you’ll know that they tend to be pricey. But that doesn’t have to be the case, as Redmi revealed at a big product showcase yesterday. The company has just released a high refresh rate gaming monitor that costs 699 yuan (~RM451).
Yesterday, Redmi officially launched its latest gaming monitor called the Redmi Gaming Monitor G24 165Hz. It’s a 23.8-inch Full HD monitor (1920×1080 resolution) with pretty good tech specs. Not only does it feature a 165Hz refresh rate, but it also has a 120% sRGB colour gamut. In addition, it has a 3500:1 contrast ratio, 300nits brightness, and 1ms response time.
In terms of features, this monitor comes with DC dimming to help optimise power draw and low blue light mode to reduce eye strain. It also supports Adaptive-Sync, HDR10, and ΔE<2 colour accuracy. As for the I/O ports, the Redmi Gaming Monitor G24 165Hz only has one DisplayPort, one HDMI port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Sure, it’s not an OLED panel with incredible visual quality. But this is easily the most affordable high refresh rate gaming monitor we’ve seen. Would you buy it if it’s launched in Malaysia? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
